Ma'had Imam Bukhori is a result of an unique growth process of an educational institution established in 1996.

Imam Bukhari Institute (Ma’had Imam Bukhari) takes responbility for the management of  some educational institution, that are: Imam Bukari Primary School (SDIT Imam Bukhari), Imam Bukhari Secondary School (SMPIT Imam Bukhari), and Imam Bukhari Boarding School (Pondok Pesantren Imam Bukhari)

 

 

 

Imam Bukhari Primary School (SDIT Imam Bukhari)

SDIT is a primary school (SD) with some development:  providing 'full day’ leraning from 8 am until 15:00 (the ashar prayer), in 5 school days (Monday to Friday).

SDIT implement the National Curriculum, with some elaboration, especially the addition of Islamic subjects which covers up to 40% of the entire subjects

 

 

 

Imam Bukhari Secondary School (SMPIT)

Imam Bukhari Secondary School is the continuation of primary school. In secondary stage, students learn all subject set by the National Standard, and they also learn additional Islamic subjects developed by Ma’had Imam Bukhari.

Some of secondary students live in boarding house. So that they can get more lessons and guidance out of school hours. The boarding program is managed by Imam Bukhari Boarding School.

 

 

 

Curriculum

Imam Bukhari primary and secondary school curriculum refers to National Standard set by Ministry of National Education. But, there are some elaboration and development. Especially in Islamic Studies (PAI). Ma’had Imam Bukhari develops its own Islamic Studies Curriculum which covers Reading and Writing of Qur'an (BTAQ), Tahfidz (memoraziation of Qur’an) and Arabic, Aqidah, Adab-Akhlak, Fiqh, and Sirah.

 

The Foundation

In the year 2007/2008, Ma'had Imam Bukhori was established and took responbility for the management of primary. Secondary and boarding school. While the formal governing body of the institution is Mafaza Indonesia Foundation.

 

Students

Alhamdulillah, the number of students grows from year to year. Number of primary school students is 350 students, while the number of secondary students is 58 students. The boarding school has 34 students.

Students come from families of various occupational background: private company employees, public officers, employees of state-owned company, entrepreneurs, and also teachers and school staffs.

Primary school students come from a wide area around the school, such as: Jatinangor, Tanjungsari, Pamulihan, Cimanggung Sumedang and Cileunyi, Rancaekek, Cicalengka-Regency Bandung. Farthermost distance is 12 km, that are Cigendel, Pamulihan Sumedang, Cipadung- Bandung City and Solokan, Jeruk, Majalaya.

Secondary school students come from wider area. Some of them come from other towns/cities that are: Bekasi, DKI Jakarta, West Java, and the outer region around Bandung-Jatinangor.

 

Teachers and Staffs

There are 16 permanent teachers, 18 regular teachers, 2 internship teachers. As many as 12 staffs consisting of 4 kitchen employees, 3 person of facilities and infrastructure maintenance, 3 people of financial and administration, the 1 person of security. In addition, there are casual workers who work according to the needs particularly in the field of buildings and facilities.

In general, teachers' educational background is not from education major, but they have obtained teaching certificate from special education program, like akta IV.
