Al-Hilal Primary School is a fullday school, where students (grades 2 and above) studying in the school from 07.30 am until the afternoon (15.00 pm).

At Al Hilal, male and female students learn separately. There are classes for male and classes for female. Al Hilal implement National Curriculum (KTSP), plus memorizing the Qur’an, Islamic studies, and lifeskills.

 

 

Al Hilal graduates are expected to memorize 3 section (juz) of the Qur'an, understand the right muslim creed (aqeedah shaheehah), worship according to sunna, and master the primary courses in compliance with the national standard.

School Goals

1. Al Hilal as a Model School
Islamic Primary School Al Hilal are expected to develop a model of basic education that is effective to achieve Islamic education goals based on the Qur'an and Sunnah.

2. Competency of Al Hilal Graduates
Al Hilal Primary School graduates are expected to have appropriate competencies as defined in the National Curriculum for Primary Schools, with additional competence: better understanding and practice of  Islam, memorize 3 section of the Quran, and practice Islamic values in daily life.

3. Al Hilal for All
Al Hilal Islamic Primary School is intended to provide education for students from different socio-economic background.

Governing Body

The governing body of Al Hilal Primary School is Imam Nawawi Foundation. The Foundation was established in 2003.

Number of Student
Alhamdulillah, the number students is increasing year to year. Similarly the number of applicants for grade 1. At New Students Enrollment Year 2009-2010, Al Hilal expects to receive 60 new students.

Students' Place of Living
Primary students living in a wide area, covering Rawalumbu, Narogong, Kemang Pratama, Perumahan Kota Legenda (Ciketing), Villa Taman Kartini, and Jatibening. Priority is given to students who come from indigenous families around the school.

Social-economic Backgrounds
Students come from families with diverse socio-economic conditions. Students who come from less wealthty families, provided subsudy of scholl tuition (SPP), development fees, and textbook fees.

 

Teachers

Al Hilal Primary School provide 22 teachers and 5 other employees for Administration, Security, and Hygiene to support education process.

Educational Background

Among 22 teachers, 10 of them are university graduates who major in education, 5 other are university graduates of non-eduation major. Others are diploma and pesantren (islamic boarding school) graduates. Some of them are achieving their bachelor degree.

To support our special programs of memorizing the Quran, Al Hilal recruit teachers who have expertise and experience to teach the Holy Qur'an pesantren.They are graduates of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) which may not have bachelor degrees.

Curriculum

Al Hilal Islamic Primary School seek to apply the National Curriculum with a number of elaborations as follows:
> Provide additional Islamic studies lessons
> Provide additional program: memorizing the Holy Qur'an
> Address the Islamic messages, the faith (iman) and akhlak, in each subject.

School Hours

Learning activities conducted from Monday - Saturday.
> Friday 13:30 to 15:00 is for life skills training for grade 3-6 students.
> Saturday is for extracurricular activities and additional lessons.
> School hours start at 07.15 until 15:00, except Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday when students end their class at 12:00. On Monday and Friday, grade 1 and 2 students end their class at 12.00.

Al Hilal regularly hold special events to encourage knowledge, skills and creativity of students, among those:
> Pesantren Ramadhan
> Market Day
> Science Fair
> Competitions in memorizing the Qur'an
> Class Meeting (inter-class competitions)
> Study Visit
> Martial Art , Syufu Taeshukan (extracurricular)
